[cobirds] Bird Conservancy Banding Report- Chico Basin Ranch 4/25-4/26

Hello!

Apr 25

Today Chico Basin Ranch experienced near 30mph winds and the station was not able to be opened. No birds were banded. Our totals for the season as of today are 55 birds of 18 species.

Apr 26 :

Today started off at a brisk temperature with clear skies and no wind, in the last hour of banding the wind greatly increased causing several of our nets to be shut a half hour early. It was a slow and quiet day. In total, we banded 10 birds of 9 species:

Golden-crowned Kinglet: 1
Yellow-rumped "Myrtle" Warbler: 1
House Wren: 1
Hermit Thrush: 1
"Gambel's" White-crowned Sparrow: 1
Downy Woodpecker: 1
Spotted Towhee: 1
American Robin: 1
Song Sparrow: 1

We are open 6 days a week (closed Sundays), weather permitting. This week we'll be opening nets around 6:30 and closing around 11:30.
Come visit!
