Highlights from a long walk today both east and west of the Poudre River s of Prospect Road, Fort Collins:

Prospect Ponds Natural Area e of Sharp Point Drive from the feedlot to the north end of the Environmental Learning Center

Ross's Goose (1 adult, white) in feedlot pond

                                                                  

Greater White-fronted Goose (1) in feedlot pond

Hybrid goose (appeared to be Snow X White-front) (1)

                                                

Wild Turkey (14) e of feedlot along river

Green-winged Teal (2)

Mourning Dove (1 or 2)

Hooded Merganser (1 pair)

Hybrid duck (male Mallard X Black Duck) in outflow channel from water plant w of ELC entrance

Northern Shrike (1 adult) se part of Running Deer NA

                                                               

Virginia Rail (1 heard) s of fishing pond w of Running Deer NA parking lot along Prospect Road
