The Swamp Sparrow has stuck around, spending a good deal of time in the yard yesterday, and it is out there now feeding with juncos in current blizzard conditions. I include two images from yesterday - one of the bird alert and erect in response to something, and another of a butt shot. I figure that one seldom sees the butt of a Swamp Sparrow, given their usual habits, so enjoy.
