While unsuccessfully searching for the Pine Warbler in residential Loveland, CO, Walt Wehtje and I stumbled on a calling Pine Grosbeak. It is either an immature male or adult female in russet plumage (see Sibley Guide). It was last seen foraging in a gutter at the corner of Security Ct and Drake Dr a block from the Pine Warbler stakeout (an example of the Patagonia Picnic Table effect). I've only seen Pine Grosbeaks at 5000 ft elevation once before in the past 20 years.
