Mark Yaeger found a Yellow-throated Warbler in the north eastern part of Pueblo City Park (Pueblo County) in the tall pines yesterday, and after a while of searching it appeared today after noon time in the sycamore trees near the Pavilion in Pueblo City Park. There's were a lot of birds to look through, and the birds were staying pretty high, it made a soft chip note. Hopefully this bird hangs around, as it would be a new bird for the Pueblo Reservoir CBC. Last Wednesday, along the Arkansas River, below and east of Pueblo City Park, there was a Chestnut-sided Warbler and Carolina Wren, that would also be new birds for count day, for the Pueblo Reservoir CBC. Hopefully everything will hang around for a few more weeks at least. The rare warblers seem to be with large flocks of other birds, chickadees, kinglets, juncos, nuthatches, creepers, and other birds. On Saturday, there was still one Rusty Blackbird, a White-throated Sparrow, and Lincoln's Sparrow, on the Rock Canyon side of the Arkansas River, below Pueblo Reservoir dam. Today, at South Shore Marina, at Pueblo Reservoir, there were adult Great Black-backed Gull, a Lesser Black-backed Gull, and juvenile Iceland (Thayer's) Gull. Five Common Loons and likely over hundred Bonaparte's Gulls were also at Pueblo Reservoir today.
