[cobirds] Glaucous Gull, John Martin Reservoir

Birders,

I photographed this immature Glaucous Gull from the dam at John Martin Reservoir (Bent County) this morning. It was the only live bird in the vicinity. The Glaucous-winged Gull gorged on its meal for a lengthy period of time, and at least one other birder got to observe it an hour later. It may still be there.

I believe the victim was a Red-throated Loon, which would have been an uncommon transient here.
