[cobirds] Re: Winter Wren, Martinez Park, Fort Collins

After unsuccessfully searching for a few hours late this morning, this afternoon I returned to the spot Joe mentioned. The Winter Wren was active on both sides of the bridge at 3:00 p.m.  It eventually flew northeast, moving around on some brush overhanging the Poudre River. The call was hard to miss.

Thanks for posting an update Joe!

The Winter Wren, originally found by Nick, was seen and heard again today
at 12:30. It was calling from north of the bridge over the marsh/stream area
on the east side of the stream. When I went to follow up on the call, it was
in a tree about 10 feet above the stream about 20 feet north of the bridge.
It then went back down into the tangle. It appears to respond to my spishing
and attempts at a chip note.
