[cobirds] White-throated Sparrow in Brighton, Adams County

Those who remained for the compilation of the Barr Lake CBC know that a White-throated Sparrow was reported from Brighton.
Details on the location were sketchy, however, as the area was adjacent to an active construction site and road nomenclature unclear.
The bird was first heard by Pablo Quezada, (proving again that younger ears are better ears) as the team walked west along the new road alignment for E. Southern Street which will connect Tower Road with S. Telluride Street.
The bird remained concealed in a dense hedgerow on the south side of the new road alignment approximately 200 yards west of the junction of Southern St. and Tower Road.  We believe the bird (and dozens of house sparrows and finches) is probably frequenting feeders along La Plata CT. on the north side of the new alignment.   These private feeders can be partially viewed from the new road alignment but are screened by fencing on the north.
Anyone visiting the site would be advised to use caution in parking and walking since it is an active highway construction area.
