[cobirds] N. Goshawk - Douglas

For the past hour & a half we've watched two, now one, Northern Goshawk immatures in our yard. They perch in conspicuous branches with good views - sometimes 100 feet from the feeders, sometimes right next to them. The smaller birds still come to feeders, at least when the goshawks perch farther away.  In fact, a Black-capped Chickadee just cruised in and out of a sunflower seed feeder with the goshawk 10 feet away. A thistle feeder, 30 feet away, has 3 Am. Goldfinches & 3 juncos.

We can hear a flicker calling - perhaps a species closer to goshawk prey size -- but we don't see it.
