[cobirds] Bird Conservancy of the Rockies - Barr Lake Banding Report, 8/26/26

Far fewer Wilson's Warblers showed up today, taking our total birds for the day down to a normal good day for Barr at this time of year.  47 new birds banded:

Western Flycatcher 1
Black-capped Chickadee 2
Red-breasted Nuthatch 1
Northern House Wren 10
Orange-crowned Warbler 1
Yellow Warbler 6
Townsend's Warbler 2
Common Yellowthroat 2
Wilson's Warbler 17 (compared with 59 yesterday)
Chipping Sparrow 1
Song Sparrow 3
Lincoln's Sparrow 1

We are open Tuesday through Saturday, weather permitting, through October 23.  Most weekday mornings there is a visitor session from 7:30 to 8:30, and on the weekends there are sessions at 8, 9 and 10 a.m.  Reservations are needed; here is the link.   Please join us......It looks like it will be a great year to visit Barr!
