Hi allWe did the Pawnee Buttes CBC count yesterday (instead of this Friday) due to inclement weather approaching Fri-Sun and not so friendly bird winds projected on Friday. Weather was great yesterday, sunny, winds only 3-10 mph and a might chilly to start 12 degrees warming to upper 20s as hours passed. Species and count # totals similar to first run of circle last year.Species counted:
- Northern Harrier
- Golden Eagle
- American Kestrel
- Common Raven
- Rough-legged Hawk
- Prairie Falcon
- Horned Lark
- Lapland Longspur
- Sharp-tailed Grouse (7)
- Townsend's Solitaire
- Red-tailed Hawk
- Eurasian-collared Dove
- American Tree Sparrow
- Merlin
- Rock Pigeon
- Unid buteo
- House Sparrow
- European Starling
