[cobirds] Pueblo Reservoir CBC results 12/18

Hi all,

Today's Pueblo Reservoir CBC (all in Pueblo County) went extremely well.  Our record species total is 132 species for this count, and we are at 129 species at least today.  We may not have all the results yet.  We had quite a few counters, and mostly calm weather.  It started at 13 degrees this morning, and only made it to the 40s.  Thanks to all the helpers, we can't do this count without you all.

Some highlights:
Red Fox Sparrow - 1 at Pueblo Zoo, first for the count
Eurasian Wigeon - 1 male at Valco Ponds
Surf Scoter - 1 at Valco Ponds
Red-throated Loon - 1 at Pueblo Reservoir
Pacific Loon - 2 at Pueblo Reservoir
Clark's Grebe - 1 at Pueblo Reservoir
American White Pelican - 2 at Pueblo Reservoir, 1 at Swallows
Spotted Sandpiper - 1 at Valco Ponds area, 1 at Arkansas River, e. of City Park
Least Sandpiper - 1 at Swallows
9 species of gulls, Glaucous, Short-billed, Great Black-backed, Lesser Black-backed, Iceland (Thayer's), Bonaparte's.
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker - 1 at Pueblo City Park
Peregrine Falcon - 2 seen
Say's Phoebe - at least 4
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher - 2
all three bluebirds
Hermit Thrush - 1
Sage Thrasher - a few
Lapland Longspur - 4
Lincoln's Sparrow - a few
Swamp Sparrow - 1
Rusty Blackbird - 1
Common Grackle - a few
Cassin's Finch - 2
Lesser Goldfinch - several
