Windsor Lake had the following highlights today:
3000+ "white-cheeked" geese, the majority of which were Cackling
3 Greater White-fronted Geese
1 Snow Goose
1 Ross's Goose
2 hybrid geese (one of which was Ross's X Cackling (photo next to a Cackling Goose below), the other was sleeping but I think was Snow X Cackling based on size)
3 American Wigeon (as Duane Nelson suggests, are the wigeons suddenly more common than they were at the turn of the year migrants?)
25 Common Mergansers
10 Common Goldeneyes
8 Lesser Scaup
125 Mallards
1 Brown Creeper (in white poplars along the west side)
Dave Leatherman
