[cobirds] Re: Call ID?/Weld

Hi all

Forgot to include that "Spring sub-song or whisper song. Getting the old pipes warmed up." is in reference to American Robin.

Hi all

iNaturalist subscriber suggested "Spring sub-song or whisper song. Getting the old pipes warmed up."; I searched those terms found this earbirding article for more comparison:

Responses so far include:
  • American Robin
  • Townsend's Solitaire
  • A Rosy Finch

Hi all

I recorded this bird at Linn Grove Cemetery/Greeley. I stood right under its tree and it was a very faint-sounding call. Robin or other?

BirdNet app, https://birdnet.cornell.edu/api/, seemed scattered reporting:

Desert Lark 50%
American Robin 33% (could be, quietest robin I've ever heard then)
Townsend's Solitaire 12%
Mccown's Longspur 11%
Pine Grosbeak 9%
Cassin's Finch 5%

Thanks Gary Lefko, Nunn
