Thanks to the people who have corrected my mistake. These pictures are of male and female mergansers!

They took the same approach where they latched onto the claw of the crawfish right at the body and shook it around and smacked it against the water. Once both claws were removed it was down the hatch. It reminds me of a Bee-eater. *Take the ouchy-parts off first*
