[cobirds] Bent County Meanderings / Scissor-tailed Flycatcher

My husband Al and I had a delightful day exploring Bent County. We started our day below the John Martin Res Dam and had a nice slate of birds!

Highlights at Hasty Campground were;

A pair of Western Tanagers - m/f
About 18 Swainson's Thrushes
Orchard Orioles
Bullock's Orioles
Yellow Warblers
Yellow-rumped Warblers
Brown Thrasher
Black-headed Grosbeak
So many Cliff Swallows
A few Bank Swallows
Even Fewer Barn Swallows
Western Wood-Peewee
Warbling Vireo
Lots of Western Kingbirds and Mockingbirds
Lincoln Sparrow
White-crowned Sparrows

Above the dam we had an Ash-throated Flycatcher.

Near State highway 101 and K/CR14 we found about a dozen Pine siskins.

On A Road between CR14 and CR 10 about 2/3 of the way west from CR 14 there is an old homestead. We found a SCISSOR-TAILED FLYCATCHER.  I've attached a map with a dropped pin where we found the bird.
