Hey COBirders,
It was a somewhat slow day for bird numbers at Clear Spring Ranch today - but some EXCELLENT birds dropped in early.
FOS Painted Bunting (2nd at CSR, 5th banded in the state) - Second Year Male - just changing colors to adult breeding plumage. Photos below.
FOS Ovenbird (2), and first banded at CSR since 2014
FOS Magnolia Warbler - second year male, my first banded ever. photo below.
FOS Plumbeous Vireo - not rare, but my first one banded at CSR. (they nest above Cheyenne Canyon)
and I am at 17 N Waterthrush for the season (!), with 2 banded Monday.
and I thought migration was slowing down!
