Another call to Denver Audubon info line that needs checking. And belated, somewhat.
Tom Scott thinks he saw a Brambling at Hawthorne Gardens in Boulder. He says it doesn't match the picture of a Spotted Towhee. He saw it last Friday & last Sunday (early afternoon on Sunday).
Directions: North on Broadway past Ideal Markets; right at a gas station another block or two (?); Go to 14th & turn left; from14th turn left at the south edge of Hawthorne Gardens; go to the end and park. He saw it in the SW corner of the gardens, both days.
Let's hope he's right and that it cooperates the way the Golden-crowned Warbler has behaved.
