CHEYENNE COUNTY:
---On May 15 at Mitchek Ranch (Private), Glenn Walbek found and photographed a GOLDEN-CROWNED WARBLER which is visible from CR 9 about ½ mile south of the Kit Carson/Cheyenne county line.  It has been seen by several birders on May 15-18.  GOLDEN-CROWNED WARBLER would be a new state record if accept.  It is very rare outside of south Texas.    
---On May 21 at Mitchek Ranch view from road, John Drummond first spotted the GOLDEN-CROWNED WARBLER in the north Chokecherry Patch.  Many birders got to see the GOLDEN-CROWNED WARBLER.  Also reported were Cordilleran Flycatcher, f Black-headed Grosbeak, and MOURNING WARBLER.
---On May 22 at Mitchek Ranch view from road, Nathan Pieplow reported the GOLDEN-CROWNED WARBLER in the north Chokecherry Patch.  Many birders saw the warbler.  Also reported were Red-headed Woodpecker, Least Flycatchers, m Black-throated Blue Warbler, Northern Waterthrush, Dickcissel.
---On May 23 at Mitchek Ranch view from Road, Michael Lester and Christy Payne reported that the GOLDEN-CROWNED WARBLER showed about 10:30 am in the north most chockcherries on the west side of the road.  Many birders saw the warbler.  Also reported were Alder Flycatcher, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, and Red-headed Woodpecker.  Linda Hodges reported that the GOLDEN-CROWNED WARBLER was last seen about 12:45 pm.  The Chokecherry blossoms have died back a great deal and it was very windy.  On May 19 when the warbler was not seen it was also very windy.  
---On May 24 at Mitchek Ranch view from Road, Mel Goff and Gene Rutherford reported GOLDEN-CROWNED WARBLER from about 8:15 to 9:30 am.  Several birders saw the warbler.  Erik Hendrickson reported the GOLDEN-CROWNED WARBLER around 5:30 pm and Hendrickson and Marcel Such had a brief view at about 6:55 pm.
---On May 25 at Mitchek Ranch, the GOLDEN-CROWNED WARBLER was NOT seen.  The Chokecherry blossoms have died, and there are no bugs.  
—On May 20 the GOLDEN-CROWNED WARBLER was reported at Mitchell Ranch by several birders.  In addition, Dusky Flycatcher, 4 Black-headed Grosbeak, Eastern Bluebird, Redhead and 2 Hammond's Flycatcher.

DENVER COUNTY:
—On May 22 at First Creak at DEN OS, Eric DeFonso reported Broad-winged Hawk.
---On May 23 at Denver International Airport on NW side, Eric DeFonso reported singing Grasshopper Sparrow.
---On May 24 at Gun Club Rd S of E 112th Ave, Elaine Wagner reported Cassin's Kingbird.

DOUGLAS COUNTY:
—On May 22 at Walker Road Gravel Pond, Nancy Davis and Gregg Goodrich reported 1st summer Common Loon.

EAGLE COUNTY:
---On May 25 at Spring Park Reservoir, Rebecca Weiss reported Sandhill Cranes with 2 young.

EL PASO COUNTY:
—On May 21 at Adams Open Space, Nate Kauffman reported 2 Mississippi Kites.
—On May 23 at Clear Spring Ranch, Steve Brown banded 2nd year m Painted Bunting, 2 Ovenbirds, 2nd yr m Magnolia Warbler and reported a soaring Mississippi Kite.  On May 26 at Clear Spring Ranch, Steve Brown reported banding his 20th Northern Waterthrush of the season and observed an Ash-throated Flycatcher overheard.
—On May 21 at Chico Basin Ranch, David Tonnessen and Jim Merritt reported Red-headed Woodpecker.
---On May 21 at Fountain Creek Regional Park, Alan Ketchm reported Stilt Sandpiper and Bewick's Wren.
---On May 21 at Ice Lake, Alan Versaw reported Eastern Phoebe.
---On May 21 on Santa Fe Regional Trail – Pine Creek, Colorado Springs, Alan  Versaw reported Eastern Phoebe.  On May 22 on Santa Fe Regional Trail – Pine Creek, Cathy Bondy reported Eastern Phoebe.
---On May 21 on Otowi Dr in Fountain, Rod Schmidt and Gary Brower reported Mississippi Kites.
---On May 23 on I-25 N in Fountain, Amy Martin Reported Curve-billed Thrasher.

GARFIELD COUNTY:
---On May 25 at Rifle Gap SP, John Drummond reported Clark's Grebe.
---On May 26 at Spring Valley above Glenwood, Roaring Fork Audubon confirmed Sandhill Cranes breeding when they found 2 adults with 2 young cranes.  Tom McConnell reported that they have been trying for several years to confirm breeding.

GRAND COUNTY:
---On May 25 at Kinnikinnik North Lodge, Melinda Berger reported a possible PACIFIC-SLOPE FLYCATCHER.  It was identified by voice and playback.  This would be a new state bird if accepted.


JEFFERSON COUNTY:
---On May 22 at Mt Lindo, Chuck Aid reported Black-throated Gray Warbler.
---On May 22 at Chatfield SP—Audubon Center and Trails, David Hill, Mary Keithler, Jonell Baliais, and Cynthia Madsen reported Orchard Oriole.

KIOWA COUNTY:
---On May 22 at Neenoshe Reservoir, David Tonnessen, Jim Merrit, Jane Stulp, and Janeal Thompson reported Buff-breasted Sandpiper, 60+ Stilt Sandpipers, 60+ White-rumped Sandpipers, Black Tern, Red-headed Woodpecker, Yellow-billed Chat, 10 Black-necked Stilts, 2 Snowy Plover, 3 Long-billed Curlew, 2 White-faced Ibis, Peregrine Falcon, 2 Northern Bobwhite, and Forster's Tern.  On May 25 at Neenoshe Reservoir, Brandon Percival reported 2 Whimbrel, White-rumped Sandpiper, and m Baltimore Oriole.
---On May 22 at Upper Queens/Neeskah Reservoir, David Tonnessen and Jim Merritt reported 4 Snowy Plover, 45 Stilt Sandpipers and 24 White-rumped Sandpipers.

---On May 23 at Flagler Reservoir SWA, Glenn Walbek reported Red-headed Woodpecker and Worm-eating Warbler.

---On May 23 at Matthew-Reeser Bird Sanctuary at Lake Estes, Libby Edward reported Black-and-white Warbler.
---On May 23 at Riverbend Ponds in Fort Collins, Sue Emond reported Green Heron. ---On May 23 at Runyon Lake, Mark Yaeger reported Mississippi Kite and Yellow-throated Vireo.
---On May 23 at Arapahoe Bend Natural Area—Rigden Reservoir (Strauss Cabin Lake), Jay Breidt reported Ruddy Turnstone and Rob Sparks reported Ruddy Turnstone and Sanderling.  Many birders were able to see both birds.   On May 24 at Arapahoe Bend Natural Area –Rigden Reservoir (Strauss Cabin Lake), Nick Komar reported the Ruddy Turnstone reported to Rigden Reservoir early in the morning and it was seen at Rigden Reservoir by several birders; also reported was a Long-billed Curlew.  On May 25 at Arapahoe Bend Natural Area –Rigden Reservoir (Strauss Cabin Lake), Diane Roberts and many other birders reported Ruddy Turnstone.  On May 26 at Arapahoe Bend Natural Area—Rigden Reservoir (Strauss Cabin Lake), John Shenot and many other birders reported that the Ruddy Turnstone continues at Rigden Reservoir.
---On May 23 at small gravel pit on S side of Horsetooth Road directly across from Rigden Reservoir, Sean Walters reported Ruddy Turnstone about 8:00 pm.
---On May 23 at Topminnow NA (East Horsetooth Gravel Pit), David Wade and Andy Bankert reported Long-bill Dowitcher.
---On May 26 at Soapstone Prairie NA, Andy Bankert reported 3 Baird's Sparrows and 12 McCown's Longspurs.

---On May 22 at W end of Osprey Picnic Area of Pueblo Reservoir, Brandon Percival found a Wood Thrush which Dan Stringer was able to see before it was flushed.
---On May 22 at Mineral Palace Park, Van Truan reported Yellow-throated Warbler.  On May 26 at Mineral Palace Park, Jim Merritt reported Yellow-throated Warbler.
