Re: [cobirds] Visitors are NOT welcome to view Hooded Oriole, so I am told.

I take full responsibility for including it on the RBA and apologize to the homeowner.

There was a gap of several days with no RBA and I offered to help.  Nobody ever shared that it was not to be reported; several e-bird reports also included the bird.

I sincerely hope the homeowner is not inundated with birders because of the report.  I did not include any specific info about location.

Friends are asking me what I know about viewing the mega-rarity
in Douglas County, a Hooded Oriole.

I have no direct knowledge, but heard second hand that the oriole
is on private property and the homeowner does NOT want to be
contacted or visited by anyone.

One birder who saw the bird is a work colleague of the homeowner
and thus was invited.

This is a public service announcement and it's all I know.

IF someone knows better, please share with the group.
