[cobirds] Red-headed Woodpecker Bear Creek Park (Denver County) Today

Birders,

I was treated to a Red-headed Woodpecker this afternoon at Bear Creek Park aka "the Hat Park" in Denver County. It was moving amongst the large trees south of Bear Creek and west of the western bridge near the playground. Photos are attached. The park was rather quiet, with just one Yellow Warbler, 3 Spotted Sandpipers, one Snowy Egret, along with several other common species. The RHWO made an otherwise uneventful afternoon exciting!

Good birding!
