Although unable to locate the previously reported Red-headed Woodpecker at Denver's Bear Creek Park, I was fortunate enough to find an Ash-throated Flycatcher there this morning. The bird was actively foraging and moved from the southwestern potion of the park eastward. When last seen about 9:30AM, it had just reached the central woodlot where there are several stone walls. Also present were Black-chinned and Broad-tailed Hummingbirds, a Western Tanager, Dusky and Olive-sided Flycatchers and numerous Western Wood Pewees.
