Today Chatfield Reservoir had 5 Common Loons (2 south of the tower and 3 ENE of the Swim Beach), and a Clark's Grebe with a now dwindling Western flock was the first I'd seen there in a while. There was a nice variety of ducks at the South Platte around C470, including Wood Ducks. An American Pipit was there, too, and one was along the South Platte immediately downstream of the Chatfield dam. A juv. Rough-legged Hawk was in the grassland area near the southwest corner of Chatfield Res.
