I found a pretty Prairie Falcon in Pueblo West on the Pueblo Reservoir CBC yesterday and have uploaded a couple of nice pics of this bird to my Birds and Nature blog.
And I found a Taiga Merlin while on the Canon City Riverwalk almost 2 weeks ago but right before my computer stopped working. Finally got it back from the shop and running almost good (it has eaten photos twice-thank goodness for SanDisk Rescue Pro Deluxe for recovering a whole bunch of photos). I was able to watch this Merlin for a full half hour. While it just perched and looked around for much of that my patience was rewarded by a fantastic acrobatic flight show. I got a number of good pics that I have also uploaded to my blog. Unfortunately I have not seen this Merlin since.
