HWY 287 South to Road M into the grasslands- Raccoon on the very top of a power pole; thousands of Lark Buntings; hundreds of Mourning Doves.
Picture Canyon- Burrowing Owls on the entrance road; two Greater Roadrunners on the cliff above the parking lot; Rufous-crowned Sparrow on the trail to "The Horse"; American Kestrel hovering in the wind.
Carrizo Canyon- Belted Kingfisher; Rock Wren
Cottonwood Canyon- Hundreds of swallows at small bridge over Cottonwood Creek.
