[cobirds] NE Colorado birding yesterday

Kathy Mihm-Dunning and I birded in northeast Colorado. The weather was better than in Denver but certainly unusual. It started at 37 and climbed to 46 during the day. With little wind and no rain, birding was not uncomfortable since we were dressed well. For people who know me, I did wear a coat and gloves.

Highlights
Crow Valley CG - it is only closed for walk-in camping, not other activities, you need rubber boots
Yellow-throated Vireo found by David Dowell
Veery 3 among the well over 100 Swainson's Thrushes who were forced out of the thickets with all of the water
Blackpoll Warbler 5 males
Tennessee Warbler
Interesting due to the water
Black-crowned Night-Heron 2

Akron Golf Course
Eared Grebe
Chimney Swift 25
Magnolia Warbler
Blackpoll Warbler 1st female I have seen

Prewitt Reservoir
Cedar Waxwing 100 at least
Rose-breasted Grosbeak male

Latham and Beebe Draw had very few shorebirds
