This morning I spotted an adult male Chestnut-sided Warbler working mostly in the canopy of a wooded area in Pathfinder Park (located just off H115 between Canon City and Florence). This is only the second time I have found this species in the Canon City area (last time was a female in first winter plumage in the fall of 2012). I got a good photo of him that I have uploaded to my Birds and Nature blog.
Also in this relatively small section of riparian woodland were 2 Olive-sided Flycatchers and a good number of mostly silent Wood-pewees (in hopes since few were calling that at least one might call out an Eastern call-did not). All of these flycatchers were working quite low to the ground, some perched only about a foot above the ground. At one point I could see 5 Wood-pewees in the area so suspect there were close to 10 or more in this small woodland that obviously had food and much of that food was close to the ground. The Olive-sided Flycatchers engaged in some agnonistic behavior as one tried to displace the other from an apparently very good hunting perch. One of the Olive-sided Flycatchers sang it's 'quick 3 beers' song a number of times and I recorded it on video.
