Earlier this past week I hosted 2 White-throated Sparrows in my yard in Canon City-one a white morph and the other a tan morph. I observed them often drinking from my bird bath but did not observe them accessing my bird feeders or seed. I found them because of hearing their distinctive 'seep' call and now realize they were in my yard or my neighbor's for a couple of days before I observed and id'ed them. After watching them for 3 days I saw them fly off high above the ground at dark earlier this week and have not seen them since. I have uploaded photos and discussion about them on my Birds and Nature blog.
