We were in Alamosa Oct 27-28, and yes, there were many cranes, in groups of anywhere from several up to 50+, scattered through the fields and sky at the Monte Vista NWR, and to the northeast of town. We also visited San Luis refuge, where we saw none. Visited with the ranger who told us that they have been trickling into the area in small groups. I'm guessing overall we saw several thousand.
