[cobirds] Great NE Colorado Birding (multiple counties)

Hello Everyone,

Today several of us (Lisa Edwards, John Drummond, Kathy Mihm-Dunning, Cris
Cook and myself) headed up to NE Colorado. Highlights include:

Red Lion Road (north of the Platte River) - Logan County:
Marsh Wren - 1 singing song of eastern race

Jumbo - Logan & Sedgwick Counties:
WHITE-WINGED SCOTER - 3 (1ad male, 1imm male, 1 female)
RED-NECKED GREBE - 2 (1ad, 1imm)
Five species each of geese and grebes.
Common Loon - 4 or 5

North Sterling Reservoir (State Park) - Logan County:
Pacific Loon - 1
American White Pelican ~90
Double-crested Cormorant - ~150

Prewitt Reservoir - Washington & Logan Counties:
Common Loon - 5
Greater Yellowlegs - 4

Jackson Reservoir (State Park) - Morgan County:
Common Loon - 1
RED-THROATED LOON - 1
BLACK SCOTER - 4 females!

Plus some odd behavior...at Jackson Reservoir near the boat ramp were about
200 Ring-billed Gulls, several were perched IN the surrounding Russian
Olives eating the olives!!!! How STRANGE!

Looking forward to seeing what this massive upcoming low pressure system
might dump into North America!
