This morning, I went to Red Rocks to see if I could relocate both Golden-crowned Sparrows reported by Cyndy Johnson the day before. I laid down some seed as was rewarded by both the immature and the adult.. This is the fifth year in a row for the Golden-crowned who showed up as an immature back in 2009. It's pretty exciting that he brought a immature with him this year. Hopefully, they stay around throughout the winter! Photos of both birds can be seen below:
