All,
I encountered some nice birds in Boulder County on this gorgeous morning.
First, the Red-necked Grebe was still at Panama Reservoir at 8am, seen
from the north shore at the south end of 115th Street. Next, I went west
on Oxford Road and just west of Hwy 287, there were 4 Snow Geese including
one Blue Goose. Then, I went to McIntosh Lake in northwest Longmont.
From the south shore in great light I saw the female Long-tailed Duck and
the male Barrow's Goldeneye. Finally, at Lagerman Reservoir between 63rd
and 75th Streets, there was an adult White-fronted Goose with the Canada
Geese just to the north of the reservoir. All together, a very nice
morning.
Cheers, Peter Gent.
