Re: [cobirds] White Ibis! Alamosa, Alamosa County

Got an update from Lynne Miller at 6:20 pm. She started looking for the ibis early this morning and Brian Harmon joined her later. Neither of them were able to locate it.

Just got an update from Brian Harmon. The ibis has NOT been seen today. At least 3 birders are in the area looking for it, one arrived as early as 6 am, I understand. Brian lives very close by and has checked out all of the spots nearby where it could likely be. No luck, though. He will keep us posted.

Brian Harmon originally saw the ibis a mile or so north of the golf course on the north river road. He just saw it again but it was about 2 miles from the original location. If you'd like to call Brian, he'll be happy to assist in locating the bird. His number is 719-937-1584.

I'm posting this for Brian Harmon. He shared a photo on the Birding Colorado Facebook page today of a White Ibis he saw in Alamosa at 10:30 this morning. It was seen about a mile north of the golf course in a group of White-faced Ibis.

Looks to be the 5th state record of White Ibis in Colorado on ebird!
