[cobirds] Red-Headed Woodpecker, Crane Hollow Road (Boulder County)

This morning, I saw an adult Red-Headed Woodpecker near the south end of Crane Hollow Road just west of Longmont.  It flew across the road near the yellow "one lane bridge" sign and then worked some of the cottonwood trees south of the road.  I wonder if it wintered in the area or if it is instead a very early migrant.

Harris's Sparrows did winter along Crane Hollow Road, and there were at least two there this morning.  Also, the heronry was hoppin' with 31 great blue herons.
