[cobirds] Bird Conservancy of the Rockies - Chico Basin Ranch banding 5/07/22

Today had a nice variety as well as an improvement over yesterday. Four new species for the season: Yellow and MacGillivray's Warbler, White-eyed Vireo, and Plumbeous Vireo. The station has caught 33 species this season.

22 New Birds Banded

Orange-crowned Warbler -3

Wilson Warbler -1

Yellow Warbler -2

Common Yellowthroat -3

MacGillivray's Warbler -1

House Wren -1

Dusky Flycatcher -1

Plumbeous Vireo -1

White-eyed Vireo -1

Hermit Thrush -3

Lincoln Sparrow -1

Gambel's White-Crowned Sparrow-1

Spotted Towhee -1

Gray Catbird -1

American Goldfinch -1

Brown Thrasher return for previous year

Yellow Warbler-return or foreign recovery (will update when I know which it is)

Regardless, this Yellow Warbler has tracked some miles, wintering in Pacific coast of Mexico or Central to northern South America. 

We'll be open 6 days a week through May 27th, closed on Sundays (with the exception of being open on May 15th and closed on May 16th). We'll be returning from the first net run at about 6:30am. Stop by and visit when you are out there!
