I think this was the first morning this season where recaptures (18) outnumbered new bandings (11). All of the recaptures had been caught previously this season and most were exhibiting signs of breeding.
Here is the breakdown of the 11 new birds:
Swainson's Thrush 4
Common Yellowthroat 1
Yellow-breasted Chat 1
Green-tailed Towhee 1
Lincoln's Sparrow 2
Red-winged Blackbird 1
Bullock's Oriole 1
