I finally caught the eastern meadowlark that has been hanging around the north end of Bud Mielke reservoir out in the open. Again, this bird has been in the same location for some time, but has been elusive when it comes to getting a clear photo. This time it obligingly landed on a fence post next to the road, sang a few songs and the retreated to the trees above the bee hives. Here are two of the photos from this morning.
