Yesterday we encountered a Curved-Bill Thrasher in RMNP at the Moraine Park Discovery Center. The bird was active in the trees on the west side of the parking lot and later flew to the back of the building.
eBird indicates this bird is rare in this area.
It was great to be back in the park – we spent an hour alone at the Discovery Center (which was closed) and the birding was good!
