*Orange-crowned Warblers, yesterday, first of year (FOY, 2 in alley e of cemetery, 1 at nearby Sheldon Lake)
*No sign of Eastern Bluebird found by EJ Raynor on 4/26 (photo verified by John Shenot), possibly species #204 for GC List
*Brewer's Sparrow today (FOY for me) in alley e of GC, coming to snow melt collected in cover for hot tub
*Blue Jays building a nest in Norway Maple at 103 Frey Ave
*House Finch nesting in front door wreath at 103 Frey Ave
*Fox Squirrel munching on bald-faced hornet comb at 103 Frey Ave
*Fox Squirrels digging up and eating viable plum pits, one after another, 3rd day in a row, the mother lode of plum pits apparently
*Fox Squirrel drinking water from graveside urn (more like urban forest soup than just water)
*Bushtit nest in Mugho Pine at intersection of Grandview Ave and first alley n of w end of Mountain Ave (big ball mostly hidden in area of dense, live needles, decorated with fresh sprigs of moss)
*Peregrine Falcon flyover e to w, center of cemetery, FOY
*Violet-green Swallow flyovers, s to n, center of cemetery, FOY
*Cedar Waxwings continue to consume male catkins of Plains Cottonwood just out on CityPark9 golf course midway along south boundary road of cemetery
*Red-tailed Hawk nest still proceeding along in southeastern corner of the cemetery, in tall spruce
*Did not see Red Crossbill female today but believe one is nesting in center of cemetery, probably the same one that nested successfully a couple weeks ago
*Chipping Sparrows are back, likely will nest again in cemetery, flock of 25 seen yesterday
