[cobirds] Denver Sparrows, Denver Co.

Just wanted to drop a line to remind folks to keep an eye out in their yards as stuff is really to starting to move through.  We've had a fun couple of days (28-29 Apr.'20) with sparrows at our place in southwest Denver (Huston Park area, Denver Co.).  Nothing rare, but a nice adult, first-of-season "Gamble's" WHITE-CROWNED SPARROW and surprise GREEN-TAILED TOWHEE this morning were fun and added to the new Yard Bird excitement yesterday when a LINCOLN'S SPARROW made a brief showing.  CHIPPING SPARROWs have been increasing the past few days, and our territorial male SPOTTED TOWHEE round out the family - last had a single junco ("Pink-sided" flavor) about a week ago.

So again, it is that time of the year when truly anything can show up, so keep your eyes peeled while stuck at the house.

Good Birding,
Doug Ward
Denver
