I was just hoping to see a few, and was so pleasantly surprised to see 46 Marbled Godwits at Standley Lake (NW Jefferson County) early this morning! They are so beautiful! They were on the east end of bird island in the NW part of the park at 7:25 am today when I arrived, then took off around 7:35.
