Hello Fellow Birders,
Watched some interesting behavior at my feeders this morning. This crow landed on the suet, chiseled off chunks that fell to the ground, then hung upside down as if determining if there was enough on the ground to go down for, then chiseled off some more, looked again, etc. Occasionally it would drop down, eat what had fallen, then make its way back up to the suet. I think its beak is big enough that the bird can't get it through the suet cage mesh open, so it resorted to the behavior I saw.
