Lisa Edwards, Kara Carragher, and I were birding today in Beulah, Pueblo County and saw a juvenile Yellow-bellied Sapsucker in the town of Beulah. Also, a male Williamson's Sapsucker continues at Pueblo Mountain Park, west of Beulah, Pueblo County first seen back in late December. Somewhat early for Pueblo County, three spring migrant Greater Yellowlegs were at the pond on Hwy 78, adjacent to Siloam Road, east of Beulah. Getting a little late, an adult Northern Shrike was along Burnt Mill Road, Pueblo County today as well. It was an amazing day, warm in the 70s, and a few butterflies were out of at least three species.
