On October 18 at Barr Lake near Boat Launch Kathy Mihm Dunning reported Red-throated Loon. On October 19 at Barr Lake, Kim Mauritz reported 2 Sabine's GUlls, 2 ICELAND GULLS, and a Field Sparrow. On October 18 at Barr Lake near the boat launch, Candace Johnson reported Red-throated Loon. On October 20 at Barr Lake, Mark Minner-Lee, Norm Lewis, Diane Roberts, and Adam Vesely reported Red-throated Loon. On October 30 at Aurora Reservoir, Gene Rutherford reported 2 White-winged Scoters and 2 Surf Scoters; and Tom and Debbie Behnfield reported White-winged Scoter. On October 31, White-winged Scoter was reported by Tony Leukering and Cheri Phillips and Surf Scoter and 2 White-winged Scoters were reported by Loch Kilpatrick. On October 31, Tim Ryan reported White-winged Scoter and Pacific Loon at Aurora Reservoir.

On October 31, Gwen Moore and Mark Chavez reported Black-legged Kittiwake at Pueblo Reservoir. Denver Field Orthinologists Field Trips
The DFO Field Trip for Saturday, November 5 is the Scoter Trip led by Joey Kellner (vireo1 AT comcast.net; 303-978-1648).
Trail Difficulty: Strenuous.
Directions: Meet on the side of Deer Creek Canyon Rd, just west of Wadsworth at 5:30 am. Join in an all-day search for migrant grebes, loons, and scoters. Bring lunch and come prepared for all kinds of weather and wide variety of driving conditions November can bring. A State Parks pass is required for drivers of carpoolling vehicles. Will carpool in 3 cars and return to meeting location no later than 7 pm.
Daylight Savings time ends November 6
