[cobirds] Re: Possible Red Necked Grebe?? Lagerman Resivior, Boulder Reasivior

Grebes are awesome. It looks more like a like a young pied-billed grebe to me. https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Pied-billed_Grebe/id

On the North East side of Lagerman Resivior we found a very strange looking species of waterfowl. It looked more like a grebe than anything else, specifically a Red Necked Grebe.

There are pictures below but if you can't tell anything it had:

Three white stripes down its face including a white eyeline.
A lighter bill but not necessarily yellow.
A redish throat but not a deep red.
Brown body
With a little bit of a white rump
Very small, MAYBE about 25 inches

Warning:
Not high quality photos
Some of the colors may be a trick of the lighting of the camera so that red in the third picture wasn't that obvious through the scope.
