---On June 27 at John Martin Reservoir, Steve Mlodinow reported 3 Snowy Plovers, 2 Least Terns, Caspian Tern and juv EASTERN MEADOWLARK.

---On July 2 a m Bobolink was reported by Robin Byers near

---On June 28, 2 American Three-toed Woodpeckers were reported by Bill Rowe along trail to Thunder Lake no more than .5 mile from the lake in Wild Basin of Rocky Mt NP.
---On June 22 an ad BROWN BOOBY was reported by Peter Bandurian in Left Hand Canyon near the hamlet of Rowena
which is west of Glendale. The bird was unable to fly long distances but did not appear to be injured. This would be a new
state record if approved.
---On June 26 a Green Heron was reported by Dan Zmolek at Walden/Sawhill Ponds in Boulder. On July 1, Jeff Parks reported Green Heron and young Moose at Walden Ponds. On July 3, Steve Frye reported Green Heron at Walden/Sawhill Ponds.
---On June 24 a male American Three-toed Woodpecker was reported by Maggie Boswell at Brainard Lake.
---On June 24 a singing stub-tailed wren (Winter/Pacific) was reported by Steve Mlodinow in Wild Basin of Rocky Mt NP just N of bridge that leads away from Calypso Cascade towards Ouzel Falls. On June 28, a Pacific Wren was reported by Bill Rowe just below Calypso Cascades in Wild Basin of Rocky Mt NP.

---On July 3, 12 Barrow's Goldeneyes were reported by David Alpeter, David and Tammy McQuade at Echo Lake. There were 2 adults and 10 young.

DELTA COUNTY:
---On June 23, 2 Green Herons were reported by Coen Dexter at Fruitgrowers Reservoir, S of causeway where willow extend into the reservoir.

---On July 3, a Black-and-white Warbler was reported by Craig Rasmussen in Castlewood Canyon SP.
---On June 30, 3 Bobolinks were reported by Valerie Bourdeau on Castlewood Canyon Road. On July 1, Bernard Morris reported 4 m Bobolinks on Castlewood Canyon Road near Winkler Ranch. On July 3, Craig Rasmussen reported 3 Bobolinks on Castlewood Canyon Rd.
EAGLE COUNTY:
---On June 24 a singing Least Flycatcher was reported by JoAnn Riggle at Gypsum Ponds.
ELBERT COUNTY:
---On June 27 David Suddjuian reported 2 McCown's Longspurs and 3 Mountain Plovers on CR 153, 0 - 5 miles n of Hwy 86.
EL PASO COUNTY:
---On July 3, Alan Versaw reported that the Pacific Loon continues at Big Johnson.
---On July 2 on Funk Road, John Drummond reported 3 Chestnut-collared Longspurs (2m, 1f) and 3 McCown's Longspurs.
---On July 1 on S Meridian Road and Hanover Road, Melissa Penta and Jon Corcoran reported Red-headed Woodpecker and Curve-billed Thrasher.
GARFIELD COUNTY:
---On June 27 at Trappers Lake in the Flattop Wilderness Area, Leon Thurmon reported 24 Barrow's Goldeneyes some of which were paired.
GUNNISON COUNTY:
---On June 27, Glenn Walbek and Steve Larson reported 7 Gunnison Sage-Grouse, Gray Flycatcher on CR 32.
---On June 27 a Northern Parula was reported by Glenn Walbek and Steve Larson in town of Gunnison.
JEFFERSON COUNTY:
---On June 16 a m Bobolink was reported by Bruce Neuman and Cheri Phillips at the Apex Center, Ralston Creek Trail. On June 18, 3 Bobolinks were reported by Lorraine Lanning behind Apex Center. On June 26, Lexxa Moffit reported 2 Bobolink behind Apex Center.
KIOWA COUNTY:
---On July 2, a White-winged Dove was reported by Larry Modesitt at Plainview School in Sheridan Lake at CR 96 and CR 71.

---On July 3 an Upland Sandpiper was reported by Chris Gilbert on CR 71 N of Hwy 138.
---On July 2 at Tamarack ranch SWA, David Dowell reported 4 Red-headed Woodpeckers, EASTERN WOOD-PEWEE, 6 Bell's Vireos, Field Sparrow, and 2 Baltimore Orioles.
---On June 26 at Red Lion SWA, Gwen Moore and Matt Clark reported Upland Sandpiper, 7 White-rumped Sandpipers and 3 Bell's Vireos.
---On June 26 at Tamarack Ranch SWA, Cheri Phillips reported 7 Red-headed Woodpeckers, Least Flycatcher, and 2 Baltimore Orioles.

--On June 30, 2 Chuckars were reported by Lee Stigen at Colorado National Monument at a culvert visible from turnout for Upper Monument Canyon trailhead.
---On June 30 a Cassin's Kingbird was reported by Mike Henwood about 1/4 m west of Coates Creek School near Glade Park.
---On June 21 American Three-toed Woodpeckers were reported by Nick Korte on S Mamm Peak which is S of Rifle.
---On June 21 Purple Martins were reported by Nick Korte on Brush Creek Road.
MOFFAT COUNTY:
---On June 26 an American Three-toed Woodpecker was reported by Forrest Luke on Black Mountain north of Craig. Best location was by USFC Sawmill Campground on FS Rd 110 3B.

---On June 26 at Yellowjacket Canyon/G Road Area, Glenn Walbek reported 4 Lucy's Warblers, Gray Flycacher, Bewick's Wren, 11 Black-throated Sparrows and ad m Summer Tanager.

WELD COUNTY:
---On June 26, a colony of Chestnut-collared Longspurs was reported by Dave Leatherman on CR 114, 0.4 miles East of CR 45 to CR 47.
---On June 25, 2 White-winged Doves were reported by Chris Gilbert at Pawnee Buttes.
---On June 25, 4 Caspian Terns were reported by Renee Casias at Woods Lake. On June 26, Art Hudak and Tom Behnfield reported 2 Caspian Terns at Woods Lake
---On June 25 at CR 134 east of CR 111, Chris Gilbert reported 6 Sharp-tailed Grouse, Cassin's Kingbird and 4 Chestnut-collared Longspurs.
Denver Field Ornithologists Field Trips:
The DFO Field Trip for Thursday, July 7 will be to Rocky Mountain National Park led by Ed Holub (edmund.holub AT gmail.com; 303-979-2194) Meet at 0800 at RMNP Visitor Center parking lot east of the RMNP Beaver Meadows entrance station on US 36.
This is a weekday trip to try to avoid weekend congestion in the park. Trip will be 3/4 day trip. We plan to consolidate to 3 cars. Please check the "who else is going" box and make every effor to carpool from the Metro area. You need a parks pass or plan to ride with someone who has one. Bring water, snacks, and lunch. Register online or contact leader.
The DFO Field Trip for Saturday, July 9 will be to Prospect Park (wheat Ridge Greenbelt) led by Jackie King (jackie.king AT ccdedu; 720-381-3314). Directions: From I-70 exit 267, take Kipling south about 3/4 mile and turn right (west) on 44th Avenue. Go one mile west. Look for entrance to Prospect Park on your left (south). Meet at 0700 just inside the park in the lot right next to Prospect Lake.
This is a trip with easy walking and accessible for mobiliy-impaired individuals. Bring water and a snack. Register online or contact leader.
The DFO Field Trip for Sunday, July 10 will be Cherry Creek Sp Wetlands Loop led by Karen von Saltza (kvonsaltza AT yahoo.com; 303-941-4881). Direction: Meet at 0800 at Prairie Loop lot in Cherry Creek SP. From either parkj entrance, follow Lake View Rd to the Prairie Loop that is located at the south rim of the reservoir. State Parks pass or day pass required.
This is a half-day of walking that passes through most of the important habitats found in the park, over a distance of about three miles. Trails can be slippery, so dress accordingly. Bring water and snacks; lunch optional Register online or contact leader.
