ALAMOSA COUNTY:
---On July 11, John Rawinski reported that the WESTERN GULL is still at Blanca Wetlands on Pond #115.  Blanca Wetlands is closed
to birders until July 16.

BENT COUNTY:
---On July 11 at John Martin Reservoir, Steve Mlodinow reported 3 Snowy Plovers, 3 Least Terns, and 4 Caspian Terns and 3 Common Loons in basic plumage.
---On July 2 Ira Sanders reported 3 Loons at John Martin Reservoir on the N side at SWA.  Ira now reports that he thinks that all
3 loons were Red-throated Loons.  On July 8 John Vanderpoel reported 3 Red-throated Loons at John Martin (1 ad, 2 juv).  On July 8,m John Vanderpoel reported 3 Red-throated Loons (1 ad, 2 juv)

BOULDER COUNTY:
---On July 13, a f Summer Tanager was reported by Dennis Palafox on the Bear Canyon Trail in Boulder Mountain Park.
---On July 2 a m Bobolink was reported by Robin Byers near city of Boulder Parks and Open Space Office west of Cherryvale.
---On June 26 a Green Heron was reported by Dan Zmolek at Walden/Sawhill Ponds in Boulder.  On July 1, Jeff Parks reported Green Heron and young Moose at Walden Ponds.  On July 3, Steve Frye reported Green Heron at Walden/Sawhill Ponds.
---On June 24 a singing stub-tailed wren (Winter/Pacific) was reported by Steve Mlodinow in Wild Basin of Rocky Mt NP just N of bridge that leads away from Calypso Cascade towards Ouzel Falls.  On June 28, a Pacific Wren was reported by Bill Rowe just below Calypso Cascades in Wild Basin of Rocky Mt NP.  On July 4, Kathy Mihm Dunning reported Pacific Wren at Calypso Cascades in Wild Basin of Rocky Mt NP.  On July 9 at Wild Basin in Rocky Mt NP, David Dowell reported Pacific Wren, Black Swift on nest, 2 American Three-toed Woodpeckers.

CLEAR CREEK COUNTY:
---On July 5, an American Three-toed Woodpecker was reported by Bea Weaver at Echo Lake.
---On July 3, 12 Barrow's Goldeneyes were reported by David Alpeter, David and Tammy McQuade at Echo Lake.  There were 2 adults and 10 young.  On July 8, at Echo Lake Bob Andrews reported 2 f Barrow's Goldeneys.  One of the females had 11 young down chicks.  They were in the SW corner of the lake.
---On July 1, 8 Brown-capped Rosy-Finch were reported by Barry Marsh at Mt. Evans.

DELTA COUNTY:
---On July 8, Dennis Garrison reported 10 active Purple Martin nests at Muddy Guard Station in Gunnison NF.
---On July 7, Tom McConnell reported 2 Black Phoebe nests downsteam from Escalante Rim Road.
---On July 7 a Green Heron was reported by Tom McConnell at Fruitgrowers Reservoir.
---On July 7, 15+ Chukars were reported by Tom and Kay McConnell in Escalante Canyon.

DENVER COUNTY:
---On July 11 a YELLOW-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON was reported by Gabriel WIltse flying over Rocky Mountain Lake Park.  It was flying SE towards City Park.

DOLORES COUNTY:
---On July 5 a small colony of Purple Martins was reported by Jim Beatty 2 mi E of Groundhog Reservoir.  The colony is now just east of Aspengold property.

DOUGLAS COUNTY:
---On July 3, a Black-and-white Warbler was reported by Craig Rasmussen in Castlewood Canyon SP.  On July 7 a singing Black-and-white Warbler was reported by Jeff Thompson and Karen Metz.  On July 9. Glenn Walbek reported Black-and-white Warbler and Bobolink on Castlewood Canyon Road.
---On June 30, 3 Bobolinks were reported by Valerie Bourdeau on Castlewood Canyon Road.  On July 1, Bernard Morris reported 4 m Bobolinks on Castlewood Canyon Road near Winkler Ranch.  On July 3, Craig Rasmussen reported 3 Bobolinks on Castlewood Canyon Rd.

EAGLE COUNTY:
---On June 24 a singing Least Flycatcher was reported by JoAnn Riggle at Gypsum Ponds.  On July 4, a Least Flycatcher was reported by Cait Boyd at Gypsum Ponds.  On July 8 a Least Flycatcher was reported by JoAnn Riggle at Gypsum Ponds.

EL PASO COUNTY:
---On July 3, Alan Versaw reported that the Pacific Loon continues at Big Johnson.  On July 4, David Alpeter, David and Tammy McQuade reported Pacific Loon at Big Johnson.
---On July 2 on Funk Road, John Drummond reported 3 Chestnut-collared Longspurs (2m, 1f) and 3 McCown's Longspurs.  On July 9, John Drummond, Joy and Leonard Lake reported 4 Chestnut-collared Longspurs (3m, 1f) and a McCown's Longspur on Funk Road.
---On July 1 on S Meridian Road and Hanover Road, Melissa Penta and Jon Corcoran reported Red-headed Woodpecker and Curve-billed Thrasher.

FREMONT COUNTY:
---On July 4, SeEtta Moss reported Bobolink at a field on MacKenzie Ave halfway from Hwy 40 and Grandview Ave. in Canon City.  Traffic  on MacKenzie is very busy.   

GARFIELD COUNTY:
---On July 8 Black Phoebes were reported by Marry Harris at River Valley Ranch in Carbondale.  They appear to be nesting.

GUNNISON COUNTY:
---On July 7, 4 Gunnison Sage-Grouse were reported by Gary Koehn on CR 26 near mile marker 5.

JEFFERSON COUNTY:
---On July 4 at Kingfisher Bridge in Chatfield Sp, David Suddjian reported 6 Least Flycatchers.
---On June 16 a m Bobolink was reported by Bruce Neuman and Cheri Phillips at the Apex Center, Ralston Creek Trail.  On June 18, 3 Bobolinks were reported by Lorraine Lanning behind Apex Center.  On June 26, Lexxa Moffit reported 2 Bobolink behind Apex Center.  On July 4, Bez Bezidenout reported Bobolinks at Apex Center.

LARIMER COUNTY:
---On July 11 BAIRD'S SPARROWS were reported in a news release at Soapstone Prairie Natural Area.  Biologists from Bird Conservancy of the Rockies have confirmed the presence of male and female BAIRD'S SPARROWS on the grassland.  Best place to search for the sparrows in on the Pronghorn Loop Trail, especially the easternmost 2 miles.  On June 15, Norm Lewis reported 3 BAIRD'S SPARROWS at Soapstone Prairie.   On July 13, Brandon Nooner, David Wade, and Nick Komar reported 12 McCown's Longspurs and 6 BAIRD'S SPARROWS at Sopstone Prairie on the Pronghorn Loop Trail.  
---On July 10,  3 f-type Barrow's Goldeneyes were reported by Sean Walters on Honholz Lakes Road.
---On July 9 and 10, 2 Green Herons were reported by Richard Herrington at Running Deer Natural Area.

KIOWA COUNTY:
---On July 4 a Glossy Ibis was reported by Steve Mlodinow at Neenoshe Reservoir
---On July 2, a White-winged Dove was reported by Larry Modesitt at Plainview School in Sheridan Lake at CO 96 and CR 71.

LARIMER COUNTY:

---On July 9 and July 10, 2 Green Herons were reported by Richard Herrington at Running Deer Natural Area.

LAS ANIMAS COUNTY:
---On July 9, Ken Blankenship reported a Black-billed Cuckoo at Lake Dorothy

LINCOLN COUNTY:
---On July 3, a Scissor-tailed Flycatcher and 3 Cassin's Kingbirds were reported by Larry Modesitt on his Rush Breeding Bird Survey Route.  The Scissor-tail was 13 m S of CO 94 on CR 2.  On July 4, Glenn Walbek reported 3 Scissor-tailed Flycatchers (2 ad, 1 juv) and a McCown's Longspur at CR 3 N of CR K.  On July 6, Gregg Goodrich reported 2 Scissor-tailed Flycatchers on Hwy 94 east of Rush.  On July 7, 2 Scissor-tailed Flycatcher were reported by Chris Gilbert on CR 2 and CR 3.  On July 10, Kathy Mihm Dunning reported Scissor-tailed Flycatcher and Art Hudake and Tom  Behnfield reported 2 Scissor-tailed Flycatchers on CR 3.  On July 11, Steve Mlodinow reported Scissor-tailed Flycatcher.  On July 12, John Drummond reported 2 Scissor-tailed Flycatchers on CR 3 and M.

LOGAN COUNTY:
---On July 12 at Tamarack Ranch SWA, Glenn Walbek reported 5 Red-headed Woodpeckers, EASTERN WOOD-PEWEE, Great Crested Flycatcher and Bell's Vireo.
---On July 12 at Red Lion SWA, Glenn Walbek reported Upland Sandpiper, Red-headed Woodpecker, EASTERN MEADOWLARK.
---On July 6, 2 Upland Sandpipers were reported by John Drummond at CR 71 N of Co 138.
---On July 6 at Tamarack Ranch SWA, John Drummond reported Red-bellied Woodpecker, EASTERN WOOD-PEWEE, 4 Bell's Vireos, and 2 Baltimore Orioles.
---On July 3 an Upland Sandpiper was reported by Chris Gilbert on CR 71 N of Hwy 138.
---On July 2 at Tamarack ranch SWA, David Dowell reported 4 Red-headed Woodpeckers, EASTERN WOOD-PEWEE, 6 Bell's Vireos, Field Sparrow, and 2 Baltimore Orioles.

MESA COUNTY:
---On July 11 a Common Loon in breeding plumage and 4 Purple Martins were reported by Nic Korte at Vega Reservoir and Vega SP.
---On July 4 at Devils Kitchen in Colorado National Monument, Carol Ortenzio reported 7 Black-throated Sparrows and a Gray Flycatcher.
---On June 21 Purple Martins were reported by Nic Korte on Brush Creek Road.  On July 5 Nic Korte reported that the Brush Creek Road Purple Martins were attending their nestholes.

MONTEZUMA COUNTY:
---On June 26 at Yellowjacket Canyon/G Road Area, Glenn Walbek reported 4 Lucy's Warblers, Gray Flycacher, Bewick's Wren, 11 Black-throated Sparrows and ad m Summer Tanager.
---On June 22 at Yellowjacket Canyon/G Road Area Caleb Fromme reported juv Lucy's Warbler, 2 Gray Flycatchers, and 3 Bewick's Wrens.
---On June 21 a Grace's Warbler was reported by Caleb Fromme on Echo Basin Road-- Upper Loop.

MONTROSE COUNTY:
---On July 13, Mike Henwood reported NEOTROPIC CORMORANT at Cerise Regional Park.
---On July 7, NEOTROPIC CORMORANT was reported by Tom McConnell at Apollo Park.
---On July 5 and July 6 a NEOTROPIC CORMORANT was reported by Maureen Briggs at Chipeta Lake SWA.
---On June 22 a singing m Black-and-white Warbler was reported by Bob Andrews in Black Canyon of Gunnison NP on the Warner Point trail at signpost #11

OTERO COUNTY:
---On July 9 in Vogel Canyon, Todd Deininger reported Greater Roadrunner and Canyon Towhee.

PUEBLO COUNTY:
---On July 3 a singing m Yellow-throated Warbler was reported by Van Truan at Mineral Palace Park in downtown Pueblo.  On Julty 5, Brandon Percival reported that the singing Yellow-throated Warbler continues at Mineral Palace Park.

WASHINGTON COUNTY:
---On July 2, David Dowell reported Thayer's Gull and 2 Red-headed Woodpeckers at Prewitt.
---On June 17, Steve Mlodinow reported WESTERN GULL (2nd-cyc), worn Thayer's Gull (*1st or 2nd cyc) and 1st-cyc Lesser Black-backed Gull and 2 Red-headed Woodpeckers at Prewitt.  On June 17, Glenn Walbek reported WESTERN GULL and Baltimore Oriole at Prewitt.  On June 18 WESTERN GULL and 2 Red-headed Woodpeckers were reported by Loch Kilpatrick at Prewitt.  On June 19 a WESTERN GULL and Red-headed Woodpecker were reported by Gwen Moore and Matt Clark at Prewitt.  On June 20, Tim Ryan reported WESTERN GULL, Lesser Black-backed Gull, and 2 Red-headed Woodpeckers at Prewitt.  On June 25, Christ Gilbert reported WESTERN GULL at Prewitt.  On June 26, Tom Behnfield and Art Hudak reported 8 Sharp-tailed Grouse (2 ad, 6 young), WESTERN GULL, and Lesser Black-backed Gull at Prewitt.  On June 26, Gwen Moore, Matt Clark, Susan Bonfiglio, Dean, and Nena Shoup reported WESTERN GULL, Lesser Black-backed Gull and Red-headed Woodpecker at Prewitt.

WELD COUNTY:
---On July 10, Jeff Maw and Earl Johnson reported Scissor-taiuled Flycatcher near Briggsdale on CR 100.
---On July 6, Norm Lewis reported Mountain Plover at the playa at CR 100 and CR 99.
---On July 4, Ted Floyd reported a Caspian Tern at Union Reservoir.  On July 9, Steve Mlodinow reported a Caspian Tern at Union Reservoir.
---On July 4, at Pawnee NG at CR 104 and CR 69, 3 Mountain Plovers, 3 Chestnut-collared Longspurs, and a McCown's Longspur were reported by Jennifer Campbell-Smith, Jon Corcoran, and Melissa Penta.
---On June 26, a colony of Chestnut-collared Longspurs was reported by Dave Leatherman on CR 114, 0.4 miles East of CR 45 to CR 47.  On July 3, Rudi Nuissl reported Chestnut-collared Longspurs on CR 114.
---On June 25, 2 White-winged Doves were reported by Chris Gilbert at Pawnee Buttes.
---On June 25, 4 Caspian Terns were reported by Renee Casias at Woods Lake.  On June 26, Art Hudak and Tom Behnfield reported 2 Caspian Terns at Woods Lake
---On June 25 at CR 134 east of CR 111, Chris Gilbert reported 6 Sharp-tailed Grouse, Cassin's Kingbird and 4 Chestnut-collared Longspurs.

Meet at 0730.  Directions:  Take S Wadsworth Blvd past Chatfield SP to Waterton Rd on left  take Waterton Rd 1.6 miles east to North Rampart Range Road.  Turn right and go  south 2.3 miles to Roxborough Park Rd.  Turn left (east) onto Roxborough Park Rd and then turn immediately right (south) on Roxborough Rd and follow signs to the the park (2.2 miles0.  State Parks pass or day pass required.  
Hike starts at the Visitor's Center.  Will walk the Fountain Valley Trail, a 2.3 mile loop trail.  Bring binoculars,water, and snacks.  Dress in layers for changing weather conditions.  Register online or contact leader.
