[cobirds] Ducks on Walden Ponds Saturday (Boulder County)

I popped over to Walden Ponds today to try out a new camera lens. The ponds are about 90% frozen over. There was a group of about 50 Ring-billed Gulls, maybe as many Canada Geese (I didn't look for Cacklers), and about 100 Mallards. Highlight birds were about a dozen American Wigeon and squeaking like little dog toys, 10 Green-Wing Teal, and about 6 Northern Pintails. A couple of Belted Kingfishers were yammering at each other over the southernmost pond.
