I visited Elbert Co in the afternoon of 5/31 and morning of 6/1. I only have time to post about a few birds. There were not many migrants, but the few I found were fun. Best was a male Scarlet Tanager at Big Sandy Creek near CR 118 on 5/31. Also that day an alternate-plumaged Cattle Egret was at Ball Reservoir, but it was not there when I visited again on 6/1. Red-eyed Vireos were at East Bijou near CR 162 and West Bijou near CR 150 on 6/1. A Bushtit family with 7 young confirmed nesting in the large pine stand off Emerald Trail west of Agate on 6/1
