Ironically, I saw a Chat yesterday at, of course, Chatfield. Isn't that how it got its name? It was singing ??? in the holler just north of the old Heron Rookery overlook. Water, water everywhere. Guess the Corps got its wish in raising the water level. After it kills all of the vegetation, they can say there is no habitat to protect by raising the level permanently.
